Andrew Buchanan has worked as a project manager and interior designer for the last 18 years.
Starting his career as a draughtsman in New Zealand, he then moved to the UK where he worked with Bill Bennette on a number of large-scale refurbishment projects.
As a senior interior designer for Joanna Trading, and a director from 2016, during his 10 years with Joanna Wood he has successfully completed numerous projects in London and abroad including a penthouse in Mayfair, a large country house in Cambridge, a ten bedroom chalet in Gstaad and the Clubhouse at The All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon.
Now working for himself, he has completed a project in Boston, Massachusetts, Phase 1, 2 and 3 of the restoration of a house in Walton-on-Thames and recently completed works for the same client in St James’s, along with tendering for other projects in London and abroad.
Andrew has worked on buildings from the pouring of the concrete through to the hanging of the pictures and the placing of the soft furnishings. He manages the design process from concept through to installation.
Andrew was recently featured in House & Garden and is a member of BIID.
